WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SAY YES TO A NEW BORE?
The drill team will arrive and commence to drill.
- The drilling operation will take from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the depth and the geology encountered. The drill team will line the hole with a Class 9 100mm PVC casing.
- They will then pack the outside of the casing with drillers’ gravel. A compressor is then used to air develop the bore.
- The next step is the installation of the pump itself.
- This is closely followed by the connection to your existing reticulation system. Please note this quotation includes the connection to only one reticulation take-off point.
- The licensed electrician will then call on site and make the electrical connection. The Electrician will be happy to discuss any extra electrical works you may need.

- Rainbird Valve Box to protect the top of your bore and provide easy access.

- Gravel pack from bottom of bore to water table.
The Boreman drills a minimum of 12m into the water table. This is to ensure the pump can hang in a minimum of 3-4m of water. We set the pump 1m above the screen, this is to minimise any future sand intrusion into the pump that would cause undue wear to your bore pump in the future.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR BORE WATER?
No, it is free, there is no cost to you whatsoever for your groundwater usage.
CAN I DRINK THE BORE WATER?
No, while most of Perth’s groundwater is clean and fresh it is recommended to have it tested before consumption.
CAN I HAVE A SEPARATE BORE TAP FOR TOPPING UP THE POOL AND GENERAL HOSING?
Yes, this can be easily organised when ordering your bore. We offer both manual and electric taps.
HOW LONG WILL THE JOB TAKE TO COMPLETE?
The complete process can take one to five days overall, depending on the bore depth required and connection to the power and reticulation.
WILL THERE BE ANY MESS AFTER YOU HAVE FINISHED?
Yes, there will be some sand from the drilling. If you wish to have the debris removed, please talk to us in advance about the size skip you will need to order. We will leave your garden as tidy as possible, however it is a major job and considerable disturbance to the site is to be expected.
DO I NEED TO CARRY OUT ANY SORT OF MAINTENANCE ON THE BORE?
No, The Boreman uses only the best pumps and fittings available, giving you maintenance free groundwater.
IS THE BORE VISIBLE WHEN IT IS FINISHED?
No, the lid is 450mm long & 300mm wide. It can be positioned under the lawn or garden.
WHEN CAN I WATER USING MY BORE?
You may use your sprinklers once per day on allocated days, either before 9am or after 6pm.

The Lowara e-GS series is a robust 4” stainless steel pump designed for long life, predominately used within irrigation and water supply applications.
The e-GS range boasts abrasion resistant construction, combined with a floating stack (impellers), This dynamic construction ensures optimum resistance to wear; making this one of the best pumps on the market for sand handling capabilities, and the hexagonal pump shaft guarantees an effective impeller drive.

THE FINE PRINT – TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Upon acceptance of quotation an invoice will be issued for 30% deposit of works.
The deposit will be due 7-days before drilling is scheduled.
COMPLETION INVOICE:
A final invoice for balance due will be issued shortly after completion. This invoice is due upon issue.
Our banking details for bank transfer will be on invoice.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS:
If you wish to pay by credit card, we do pass on the bank surcharge of 1.5%.
Credit card payments can be made by calling the office between 9 and 12 p.m. Monday – Thursday.

CLEAN SITE (DEBRIS REMOVAL):
If you wish to order a skip for your drilling debris/waste to be disposed into at time of drilling, please talk to us about placement. In most cases a 2 cube with door mixed waste skip is sufficient. Skips need to be onsite the day before scheduled drilling and are the responsibility of the homeowner.
The Boreman Farm
As part of The Boreman commitment to preserving the environment and offsetting carbon emissions we actively plant 10,000 trees every year at our family farm in the Wheatbelt. The farm hosts a sandalwood plantation and many native acacia trees.

The Boreman farm is actively used to train staff in conservation, machinery maintenance and drilling techniques. It is an important part of who we are at The Boreman.
Every year the team spends time in the winter on the farm assisting with planting of trees.
Over the past 20-years the active bush rejuvenation has seen a return of many native fauna.
Amongst the Kangaroo’s and Emu’s, you can also find the farm hosts the Mallee Fowl which is a threatened species.
